I have recently fallen in love with Firefly. So I decided to draw the characters! This random little style my friend titled "Cartoodles". I've done over 50 of them... of just random fictional characters and a few real people haha. I'm addicted to Cartoodling. It's awesome stress relief in college.
aw, you didn't do the classic "it sure would be nice if we had some GRENADES" or the reaver description... but still, the "cartoodles" are really CUTE! -skwishes Wash-

Sorry for the spam, but is there a specific way to draw these? Like a start point? I'm having a lot of trouble mastering drawing and any pointers would be nice.

I love beaches but the ones with oceans are the best.
You maybe the only one holding yourself back, but sometimes it helps to have someone else help you loose the shackles holding you.
Hmm... well I think I usually start with the head. I'll draw the jaw shape, then I usually move to the eyes, then mouth. I mean, I don't necessarily have a specific way of drawing these, it depends on the specific drawing. The best thing to do is just repetition and practice. Just draw and draw and draw.
Mkay...Aside from practice is there a way to help? Like drawing spacific things that will help chalange me? I have serious issues with praportions and I've been trying to find something aside from drawing whole pictures that would help my brain get the "no it's suppose to be this big/small" thing. Doodles help a bit, but they don't seem to be helping enough.

I would say drawing from life, specifically the figure. If you can find a way to get to open figure drawing sessions, then go. There are websites where you can draw the figure, a good one is [link] Just carry around a sketchbook and whenever you get a chance draw people... at the mall, at school, draw your family, your friends, draw as you watch tv, draw from photos of people in magazines.... draw whenever you can. It's the one thing I've found that's really had a huge impact on my art overall. Hope that helps..
